Health Benefits - Medical & Dental Plans

Aetna | Kaiser | Health Savings Account | MHN EAP | Vision | Dental | COBRA2007-08 Info

2008-09 Health Insurance Plans & Premiums

Open Enrollment Announcement with plan descriptions of all the new Aetna and Kaiser plans, premium rates, and much more. The next open enrollment will take place at the end of November 2008 and will be effective on January 1.

Premium Rates - All medical and dental plan premium rates will remain in effect until December 31, 2009 (18 months) to transition the County to a calendar year enrollment cycle.

Health Savings Account (HSA) Information - Each enrollee in the Aetna HDHP (High Deductible) PPO Plan with no other health plan coverage and not enrolled in a health care flexible spending account, is eligible to set up a pre-tax Health Savings Account (HSA). Unlike a flexible spending account, these funds roll over from year to year and the County will contribute $34.62 biweekly ($900 per year) for full-time employees. Kaiser Plan information - Kaiser will offer Low and High Option HMO plans utilizing many former Buenaventura Medical Group physicians. County employees must live within designated zip code areas. These plans duplicate existing benefit levels as close as possible. For customer service, contact: Kaiser HMO Plans: 800-464-4000
